And, Cansino will never get to see that roof repaired or replaced. That's because 7News has confirmed that she is not seeking a contract renewal and her current 4 year contract expires in mid October. Reports say she has informed her executive team and the board of directors of the non renewal. No replacement has yet been named and the post is not being advertised.
Cansino -who is a registered nurse - took over as CEO in September of 2021 with the popular acclaim of the Union and staffers who supported her as a fellow medical professional who had worked with them. Over time, though, the relationship - especially with the union - wore thin.
She is currently the chair of the Social Security Board, and as a consequence sits on other related corporate boards namely BTL and BEL.
