And it wasn't on the minds of UDP campaigners in Toledo West as they rolled through Jalacte village in a motorcade on Sunday, piled in the backs of pickup trucks.
This is but one example and we asked the Commissioner about it; he says that they were far less reckless than what happened in Blue Creek but still a serious concern.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We are really tired of having to be babysitting big people, people who are supposed to know better. This whole issue with this political climate where politician also believe that they are immune from prosecution, I have been harping to my officers to enforce the quarantine regulation despite who the person or persons are who are in violation and while I have seen where some start to draw comparison between Blue Creek and the motorcades, I still believe that what happened in Blue Creek is far more outrageous and reckless than the motorcades. That is no consolation that those who organized those motorcades are not supposed to be looked at and see if there was any violation. From what I saw in the motorcade many of the persons or almost everyone I saw in the motorcade was wearing a mask now I have some issues in the sense that I saw crowds in the back of pickups and in one case I saw a truck that had about 8 persons in the back there is surely a social distance violation there and I have since directed OC toledo to look at that matter and to see who needs to be charged, while yes we cannot prosecute them for having a motorcade where there are violations of the quarantine regulations then we can prosecute and that will be done just as we did with the red bank situation."
