To close the press conference, Panton took aim at Love FM and TV, expressing disappointment over their recent coverage of her leadership. Panton stated that the media house failed to contact either herself or the chairwoman for comment or clarification, accusing the outlet of pushing a specific narrative.

Tracy Panton, Leader of the Opposition

"And I want to say since you're here representing Love FM that Love FM has a responsibility to ensure that you do your investigation, that you engage all parties because I have to say I'm disappointed that the narrative that is being promoted on Love FM compromises the very integrity on which LoveFM was built. Not you, but there are persons that make the news decisions for Love FM, who don't even pick up the phone to ask what is your position on this situation but spins a narrative that has no basis of trust, based on no facts and so I urge all members of the media here today and I single out LoveFM because of the narrative that was on the news station this week, not even a phone call to the chairlady of the UDP or to the Leader of the Opposition who has always graced LoveFM with their presence whenever we have been asked but all media houses you have a duty and an obligation to inform the citizenry to help us to safeguard what we all have now agreed is a very fragile democracy by ensuring your news is objective."
