The Philip Goldson International Airport closed this evening, and tomorrow morning at 7:00, sea ports will be closed, and buses will stop running at 10:00 a.m. Schools will remain closed; while those used as shelters must be accessible to the public.
This afternoon n Belmopan, NEMO Representatives and the Chief Met Officer met in the Cabinet room with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Disaster Risk Management and CEO's from first response ministries including Human Development and Families, MIDH, Health, Education, Economic Development and Foreign Affairs to calibrate the readiness and response effort.
As for tomorrow, the public is discouraged from moving around and only essential services should be operational.
