It's become a kind of secret election tradition - that the price of gas somehow magically falls as the big day draws near.
And so it is that in a few hours, the pump price of diesel will go down by 39 cents - going from $8.33 to $7.94 per gallon.
The prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline, and kerosene will remain unchanged.
