CDC Issues Level Three Warning For Belize Travellers

And, not only scaring away some voters, a new COVID warning from the US Centers for Disease Control could also scare away tourists!

The advisory gives Belize a level three warning, meaning the risk to contract the virus is high.

The CDC is recommending that travellers avoid all nonessential travel to Belize, especially if they are at increased risk for severe illness.

Additionally, the CDC cautions that if you get sick in Belize and need medical care, resources may be limited. For those that test positive upon entering the country, the CDC notes that they may have to isolate for a period of time and may even be prevented from returning to the US as scheduled. The article advises travellers to get tested before any trip to Belize.
