And that's not the only murder to report tonight - there is another that also appears to be an execution.
Jermaine Balthazar, a 44 year old Dangriga resident better known as "Namu" was found dead this morning on the Frank's Eddy Road - just about 300 feet from the junction with the George Price Highway. His body had been dumped on the shoulder of the road with gunshot wounds to the head. His hands and feet were bound and his feet was tied with and electrical wire.
Police told us what they know today - but did not disclose that he had been tied up:
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, N.C.I.B.

"At 6:30am this morning, Belmopan Police responded to a report at Frank's Eddy Village about three hundred feet off the George Price Highway where they found the lifeless body of a male person identified as Jermaine Balthazar Flores, 44 years. He was seen with gunshot injuries to the head. Investigators are out there at this time canvassing the area to see what they can recover from that scene. Like I mentioned he has gunshots injuries. Police responded after receiving reports that his body is out there. That is all we have at this time."

"Is it believe that he was killed at the scene where he was found?"
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero
"We have not determined that as yet. The post mortem and other analysis will be conducted and that will determine that."
Baltazar is from Dangriga, but also has ties to Belize City. He is well known to police - and his brother was also murdered some years ago. He also has another sibling who is currently on remand for the murder of a senior gang figure.
