And last night there was a shooting in the Hot Point area of San Ignacio, reportedly the result of a rivalry between two feuding groups.
It resulted in 20 year old Crispin Garbutt being shot in the chest. Police told us more - but not much more:
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero
"At 9:40pm last night, the 3rd day of July 2019, police responded to a report of a shooting incident. They visited the hospital where they found Crispin Garbutt with a gunshot injury to the chest. Information is that he was approached by 3 male persons. There was an argument and thereafter one of the male persons pulled out a firearm and shot him to the chest area. We are presently in the process of trying to locate these 3 male persons."
