It's the national referral hospital with the country's biggest and busiest emergency room, but the KHMH A & E is scaling back operations for the next few months.
Starting on Monday, July 8th the hospital is upgrading its Accident & Emergency infrastructure. The hospital says the works will take a few months, quote "and will affect the delivery of service. During this time only urgent cases will be accepted, persons wishing to access non-urgent care are encouraged to do so at the three (3) major Polyclinics Matron Roberts, Cleopatra White and Port Loyola Health Center. "
The KHMH says it's sorry for any inconvenience as it is trying to improve the facility.
