We always hear about Belize's low conviction rate, and all those nolle pros cases, and inconclusive or mishandled evidence. But, increasingly the National Forensic Science Lab is using the rigor, precision and discipline of science to make the chain of evidence compelling and airtight.
And that effort has gotten a major boost with two new labs that are poised to upgrade investigative units and improve death investigations countrywide. 7news was at the opening this morning:
Ahead of equipment donations scientists at the NFSS were also provided with the necessary trainings required for use and care of the new equipment.
