It's official, the Caye Caulker Village Council is going back on the offensive. They will hold a rally and motorcade tomorrow FOR PARCEL 815 under the theme "No construction, no clear answers, we demand both."
A post from the council says, quote, "We are not getting clear and concrete answers and it's time to resume the pressure. CCVC reached out to the minister to ask for a meeting but we were declined due to short notice. We must continue our efforts to make our demands clear."
But, a voice message leaked to 7News from the contractor Steven Coleman to the Chairlady seemed clear enough. It was send this afternoon and tells her that they should have boots on the ground at the construction site by Monday:
Voice of: Stephen Coleman, Contractor

"Hi, good afternoon. Madam Chair Lady Stephen Coleman here, contractor police station. Yes, we have been given the go-ahead to resume work. This happened last week. We have met with CEO and the program execution unit."
"We are in the process right now of gathering all the materials. We are hoping to send out a barge full of material that is steel, concrete, mix, what have you, cement. We should have boots on the ground either by Friday or Monday the latest."
"I suspect maybe Monday the latest. Okay. So that is the official update from the contractor's point of view as to regarding to the Bella Vista police station. So we will be in touch, ma'am. Thank you very much."
We did reach out to the Chairlady, Seleny Villanueva Pott for comment and she said that, yes, she finally got a verbal confirmation that work will resume on Monday but still has not gotten anything in black and white. She says there is still no indication that land will be given back to the village council.
