Flood Warning For Bze District

We've shown you flooding out in Cayo earlier in the news - and here in the city, the Belize City Council along with CEMO have put out a flood warning for the entire District.

The warning says 15 to 25 inches of rain is possible and the authorities are urging residents to be on high alert and to take action to save life and property. All residents living in flood prone areas are advised to start relocating to higher grounds immediately, and for those who can shelter in their homes, they are asked to place food and valuable items out of the read of flood waters. If your home is likely to flood, it is advisable to turn off the main power supply.
