Tonight, an alleged burglar is free after facing a possible 7 years behind bars for a burglary. 49-year-old Kenroy Cooke was charged for breaking into All Saints Primary School and stealing a fifteen hundred dollar projector. However, the charge was withdrawn today after the crown told the court that the school requested no further action against him since they were able to recover the stolen projector.

But while Cooke is free, he complained bitterly about spending six months on remand, in what is known as "the hole." He was sent there because he is a repeat offender, having been charged for a burglary back in 2010, and a rape in 2020.

According to him, the conditions were inhumane, but could only cite that he was not allowed to recreate or purchase items aside from hygiene products. He added that he was not allowed a phone call, so if his trial had not come up, he would still be behind bars.
