And while the Prime Minister will do the bulk of the boasting tomorrow - the Leader of the Opposition could afford to do some today. He's found a replacement for his party's Belize Rural South Standard Bearer Jazeli Azueta who was removed by the party's national executive. That, of course, is after her committee spoke out against her own party in a Facebook post.
Well, the party has done one better in replacing Ms Azueta: they have turned to a 3 term mayor. We asked the party leader today about the re-emergence of Danny Guerrero:
Jules Vasquez
"We have heard rumblings that in fact after a few weeks of suspension that you all will have a new standard bearer or a potential new standard bearer for Belize Rural South. Reports reaching me say that it could be the former mayor, Danny Guerrero, three -term mayor who left before he lost."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Yes, we have made progress. Mr. Guerrero, former three-time mayor who left as a winner, is going to bring his winning ways to Belize Rural South and deliver that seat for us. He submitted his application today."

"After many weeks of deliberation, I had been going out there quietly, not asking or telling anyone what I thought, but just listening. This is the result of consultations. The executive calling everyone out, Ms. Elsa Paz, she was one of the names that had been mentioned and I spoke to her and spoke to different people. The executive believes that Mr. Guerrero is the suitable candidate to lead Belize Rural South to victory."
Jules Vasquez
"Is he the suitable candidate or is he the only one who is willing to do it? Because right now you step in for UDP in Belize Rural South you have a high chance of taking a loss in the upcoming election."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"No, I doubt that very, very much. We will win Belize Rural South, if we don't win anything Belize Rural South will be one of the constituencies we do win and Mr. Guerrero left politics as a winner."
