And we wanted to ask the prime minister about the sickout, but he's been out of the country. He flew in this morning, and as usual, our news team was there to meet him. However, the PM wasn't up for answering our questions, but rather than deny an interview, he dodged the media on a whole.
But the airport doesn't have any secret "back exits" so how did he do it? - especially since his vehicle was parked in front of the "international arrival" section?
Well, it seems his team arranged for his driver to take the vehicle around to the departures area - where the PM hopped in, completely avoiding the media. Our cameras caught him as he got into his vehicle and drove off - stopping only to greet a woman through his car window.
He has just returned from New York City, where he was attending the Sustainable Development Goals Summit at the UN, along with his wife, the Special Envoy. He will be giving his Independence Speech tomorrow in Belmopan.
